Piano Program
Participants will have the chance to work a group a pianists who have established themselves with unique international careers.
Xak Bjerken, professor at Cornell University, has worked with countless composers and is currently recording a CD of newly commissioned piano concertos for Naxos Records. Lauma Skride is a Latvian pianist concertizing as a soloist and chamber musician throughout Europe. Başar CanKıvrak, graduated with the highest honors from the Moscow Conservatory and is one of the founders of the Begoa Ensemble and Trio Ba. Jerfi Aji holds double graduate degrees in engineering and music and is currently on the faculty at Istanbul Technical University/ MIAM. French pianist Yannick Rafalimanana, an advocate for new music also performs throughout Europe and US with a wide number of collaborative musicians and orchestras. Highly acclaimed harpsichord player Wolfgang Kostujak, is a professor for harpsichord and historical performance at Folkwang University of Arts, Essen and an editor for Henle, Schott and Amadeus Editions.
Chamber music is at the core of all KK programs, but students will also receive private lessons on solo repertoire.
Students can apply as a chamber ensemble or as individuals.
Capacity: 3 pianists per week
Tuition 500eu for 2 weeks or 300eu for 1 week
